Abstract

As the process of determining the best ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) company under the
several criteria as service quality, manufacturing capability, financial capability etc to the buyer
comes under the Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem contains both quantitative and
qualitative factors. In addition, vagueness is also a big challenge in decision theory due to the
rapid development of economic and social uncertainties. In order to accumulate the phenomenon of
fuzziness in the decision making, an attempt has been made in this work to present a methodology for solving the MCDM which is based on AHP (Analytical hierarchy process) and TOPSIS (Technique
of order preference by similarity to ideal solution) by using weakest t-norm operations. Linguistic
values are used for representing the vagueness of the data in the form of triangular fuzzy numbers
and the proposed method is demonstrated through a case study effectively.
